the avenue market, formerly known as lafayette market, opened in 1871 in what is now known as baltimore’s upton neighborhood. after a catastrophic 1953 the present 34,034 square foot building on historic pennsylvania ave. was erected and is currently operated by baltimore public markets corporation, a private, non-profit entitiy. jerome c gray architects, llc were retained to produce a comprehensive study to determine how to transform the underperforming facility into a vibrant neighborhood attraction.

jerome c. gray architect, llc was hired by johns hopkins university to study options for renovating the wolfe st. entrance to the school of public health to provide accessibility and and signage.

out of the blue we’ve been designing a lot of signage for the station north and charles village neighborhoods in central baltimore. pretty fun working with owners, artists and community to enliven our great streets.

our joint venture team completed concept design for a 34,000 sf renovation and addition to historic st. bartholomews episcopal church in baltimore, md. design phases and construction will commence 2018 and run through 2019.
